DIY Facials

Posted By Diane

The use of facial mask has become popular among women for it can give the skin a quick boost. What makes it even more exciting is that anyone can create their face masks using natural ingredients in the comfort of home.

We've rounded up three refreshing facial masks that will not only help you save bucks but will also rejuvenate your skin in a flash!

1. The Wrinkle Minimizer Mask

This mask can help you reduce fine lines and age spots. Egg white can prevent wrinkles as it tightens and tones the skin. While lemon extracts exfoliate and brighten uneven skin at the same time. Lastly, honey is used to moisturize the top layers of the skin for a visible, youthful glow.

What you need:

  • 1 Egg White
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tbsp Honey

What to do:

  1. Whisk the egg white together with the lemon juice and honey.
  2. Apply to face and leave on for 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse off with water once dried.

Tip: Add your favorite essential oils to your face mask for extra skin benefits!

2. The Blemish Fighter Mask

Free your skin from blemishes or breakouts with this mask which contains ingredients that can be easily found in your kitchen: milk, honey and nutmeg! Milk is an anti-inflammatory that can make the skin moist and reduce redness. While honey breaks apart excess sebum and nutmeg provides gentle exfoliation.

What you need:

  • 2 tsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Nutmeg

What to do:

  1. Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Apply and leave on face for 15 minutes.
  3. Wash off and put on your favorite moisturizer.

3. The Skin Brightener Mask

Brighten up your skin with the help of this mask made of strawberries, honey and yogurt. These ingredients work together to provide brightening benefits as they gently exfoliate and moisturize the skin in  as early as one application.

What you need:

  • 2 Strawberries
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Yogurt

What to do:

  1. Mash the strawberries and mix thoroughly with honey and yogurt.
  2. Slather a thick coat on the face in a circular motion.
