The discovery of thermal spring took place in Avene, France. A horse from Marquis Rocozels found the Saint Odile and after drinking the spring water, the horse's cpat became shiny and soon its skin disease was completely cured too.
This led the Marquis of Rocozels to build the first thermal facility in Avene where thousands of patients suffering from various skin diseases got treated. Ever since the Avene Dermalogical Hydrotherapy Center started in 1743, numerous dermatologists focused on studying the properties of the thermal spring water. Fast forward to this day, Avene has expanded its collection and launched a new sun care line exclusive to the US consumers.
