SkinMedica began the development of growth factor technology with a patent issued for TNS or Tissue Nutrient Solution a change in age defense science. In 2013, SkinMedica was acquired by Allergan, a global healthcare company. Before the acquisition happened, SkinMedica has been focused on creating innovative skin care products that can treat and renew the skin for over a decade.
